This week Nicolle Neulist, aka @rogueclown, was representing Grayson-Jockey Club Reasearch Foundation who she also backed to victory in the Charitable Wager Boxing Day Betting Challenge.

Grayson-Jockey Club Research Foundation has no alliance with any one university, so the Foundation is free to fund the best research regardless of where it takes place. Since the early 1980s, the Foundation has funded 335 specific research projects at over 40 universities. In addition to funding this research, the budget for any given year might direct as much as one-third of its total to support lab technicians and graduate students to assist the Principal Investigator. Thus, the research today is helping recruit and train the researchers for tomorrow, giving extra impact from the Foundation’s funding. Aside from such staff assistance, however, the Foundation does not pay the Principal Investigator’s salary or other overhead, therefore directing the dollars right on the target of research.

Each week, the CharitableWager.com Host will donate US$5 (plus advertising fees) to the charity selected by the winning entrant. Contestants aren’t obligated to donate but are encouraged to give US$5 or however much they feel comfortable contributing. Those who would like to contribute to Grayson-Jockey Club Research Foundation can do so through this linked web page.

Additionally, charities represented in the weekly Free Friday Fun(d)raiser contest will earn points in the annual standings. The charities will earn 60, 20, and 10 points when their proxies finish first, second and third respectively. Additionally, charities will amass an additional 1 point for each player who represented them but did not finish in the top 3. At the end of the year, the top 5 charities in the annual points standings will receive 60%, 20%, 10%, 5%, and 5% of the annual donation pool. The annual donation pool is the combination of a $100 donation from the host and advertising fees on the FFF web pages.
