Pledges Continue To Come In

There are $200 worth of Breeders’ Cup contest pledged donations as of 10PM Saturday.

There have been tweets from at least six indicating that they intend to compete in next Friday and Saturday’s Charitable Wager Breeders’ Cup handicapping fundraising contest.

Contestants in the 2017 Charitable Wager Breeders’ Cup Contest will choose from the following stable of charities for which to play. Some of the contestants have already declared for whom they are playing:

  • CDBLC: Churchill Backside Learning
  • CTA: Caribbean Thoroughbred Aftercare – Julie Wright
  • EG: Equine Guelph

  • KHPF: Kentucky Horse Park Foundation
  • LR: Long Run Thoroughbred Retirement Society – Tommy Massis
  • NMR: National Museum of Racing
  • NTRA: NTRA Charities
  • OF: Old Friends Thoroughbred Retirement Farms – Andy Villanueva, Statline Scout
  • PDJF: Permanently Disabled Jockey Fund

The charity fun(d)raising contest is open to any person willing to donate at least $25 to the horseracing themed charity selected by the contest winner. The contest is a mythical bankroll WPS event on the 13 Breeders’ Cup championship races on Friday, November 3rd and Saturday, November 4th.
