Charitable Wager: SHOWcase Contest Starts On Giving Tuesday

Charitable Wager: 2018 Charitable Wager SHOWcase Contest

On Tuesday November 28th, #GivingTuesday, CharitableWager.com will conduct its inaugural SHOWcase. The SHOWcase is a DYI show parlay contest where donor can pick one North American thoroughbred race per day with a minimum of five betting interests to make a mythical show wager.

Contestants will be playing to win $100 for themselves and an additional $100 for their charity. To win the contest, donating contestants must make 50 successful consecutive show bets. The contest will run from Giving Tuesday 2017 to Giving Tuesday 2018. If no contestant wins the contest, the charity SHOWcased by longest registered win streak will receive $100.

Unlike other internet based show parlay contest, the Charitable Wager contest will allow players to (un)intentionally skip days and to mix and match racecourses. Contestants don’t have to make their first selection on the opening day of the SHOWcase. One could conceivably win the contest start a new streak attempt as late as Sunday, October 7, 2018.

Contest submissions will accepted on the SHOWcase Contest Entry Form beginning Tuesday, November 28th.

In the spirit of the horse racing twitter world uniting for good, all participants will voluntarily donate to a horse racing themed charity a minimum of $25 USD to compete in a mythical show parlay handicapping contest. No donations will be handled directly by the contest organizers. Donations will be made in advance of the contest selection. 100% of the donation will go to the designated charity and be made directly with the charity.

Only one donation is required per SHOWcase streak attempt. If your streak ends, then you may re-buy in with a subsequent $25 donation to start a new streak attempt.

The first contestant to select fifty (50) consecutive on-the-board finishers will receive a PayPal gift of $100 USD from the contest host. Additionally, their SHOWcase charity will receive an additional $100 USD charitable donation from the contest host. If no one has strung together fifty consecutive show finishes by Giving Tuesday, 2018, the contest host will donate $100 USD to the charity of the longest successful SHOWcase streak.
